The Sporting Lodge have resigned from the League with immediate effect. All 4 League Tables to date have been updated without their scores. A revised fixture list has also been published, where the only change is that the Sporting Lodge has been replaced with a “bye”

Many of you long standing members of the League may remember Ron Maynard, who played alongside Peter and I in the Pathfinders, Dragoon, Griffin, Stainton & the Apple Tree (the Jim Maynard Triples competition was named in honour of Ron's father). Ron retired from darts at the end of the 2014-15 season, but very sadly Ron passed away on Thursday aged 92. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ron's wife, the lovely Connie, at this very sad time.

More sad news I'm afraid, Peter Nugent (Yellow Rose) has passed away. Peter had been involved in the League for many years, and I am sure you will join me in sending our thoughts and prayers to Peter's family and friends at this very sad time.

It is with huge sadness that I must inform you that Brian Fowler (Grenadier and Coronation) passed away on Monday this week. Brian had been a member of our League for many years, winning the Pairs and Individuals trophies back in 1989, the Pairs again in 1999, and the Individuals again in 2008. Due to recent illness, Brian had not been playing much darts. but he will be sadly missed, as he was a huge character, and a true gentleman. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of Brian's family and friends at this very sad time.

It is with huge sadness that I must inform you that Joe Wallace (Griffin) passed away on Saturday morning. Joe had been a member of the Griffin team for many years, but was diagnosed with cancer only a few weeks ago. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of Joe's family and friends at this very sad time.

It is with huge sadness that I must inform you that Danny Goodall (Endeavour "A") passed away last night. Danny had been a long standing member of the League, but more importantly he was a very genuine and lovely gentleman, and will be sadly missed.
